Nobody Greater

“No wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the Lord.” Proverbs 21:30

There’s a lot of talk these days about the power of the mind.  There’s a lot of talk about how one can visualize and manifest things into being.  One must be careful in attempting to think up success, visualize success, and all of the other human attempts to get rich, to be successful, and to overcome.  God clearly triumphs over all of the rhetoric and the modern thinking that is in circulation today.  I am a thinker, I am a dreamer, and I read a whole lot but I have not come across one idea, quote, or more inspiring story than what I have read in the Word of God.  God’s Word is deeper than any “-ology” that is known to mankind.  The Word of God is more powerful than any book that has ever been written or ever will be written.  As we come to the close of 2018 and look forward to a new year, it’s easy to want to grasp hold of that thing that will anchor the year.  Perhaps trying to find the answer to why you are not progressing has you thinking about possible solutions.  Well my friend, may I recommend to you the Book of all books.  The timeless, ageless classic work of God, the Bible holds all the answers to your desires, to your dreams, to what you are seeking.  He who seeks Him will indeed find Him when He is sought with the whole heart!  “No wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the LORD.” Proverbs 21:30

Application:  Go hard for Jesus in 2019!  Allow God to do a greater work in you.  If God is for us nothing can stop us.  There truly is nobody greater than our God.

Encourage Yourself

Have you ever experienced the feeling that you are not doing enough, or that you are not enough? Perhaps you are like me and you have struggled with feelings of being less than? Well you are not alone. I would like to encourage you with a Bible verse found in Philippians 1:6. In it Paul said that we should be confident in knowing that when you were rescued by Christ, He started a “good work” in you. Just like He started that “good work,” He will carry it out to the very end! Speak over yourself and encourage yourself with these words!
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Phi. 1:6
